CVE-2026-104254 2026-11-06 5.3 Medium
liboqs is a C-language cryptographic library that provides implementations of post-quantum cryptography algorithms. From 0.11.0 through 0.16.0, builds configured with OQS_ENABLE_SIG_STFL_LMS=ON can read beyond a caller-supplied signature buffer when an untrusted truncated LMS or HSS-LMS signature reaches OQS_SIG_STFL_verify or OQS_SIG_STFL_alg_lms_verify. In hss_validate_signature_init() in src/sig_stfl/lms/external/hss_verify_inc.c, consumed-length checks do not ensure that the bottom-level q and C fields remain available, allowing up to 32 bytes to be read past the buffer. In version 0.16.0, is_hss_public_key() also reads at offset 8 after only a four-byte length check, allowing an over-read of up to eight bytes. No valid signature is required, but the public key must be syntactically plausible. The read data is consumed only by an internal hash and is not exposed, so the supported impact is a possible verifier crash and denial of service, not memory disclosure or acceptance of an invalid signature. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in version 0.17.0.
CVE-2026-90975 2026-11-06 N/A
A vulnerability in Realtek's RtUsbA64.sys USB audio driver allows a local, low-privileged user to abuse a kernel I/O control (IOCTL) interface that acts on a caller-supplied user-mode pointer without proper validation or capture. By issuing crafted property requests an attacker can obtain kernel-mode read and write access, which can be leveraged for local privilege escalation and arbitrary kernel code execution.
CVE-2026-96546 2 Gimp, Redhat 3 Gimp, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 2.5 Low
A one-byte out-of-bounds heap read flaw was found in GIMP's uncompressed DDS image loader. When a user opens an uncompressed DDS image, the file-dds plug-in performs an unconditional one-byte look-ahead after processing the final pixel. This may cause the plug-in to crash if the byte immediately following the pixel buffer is inaccessible; no information disclosure or code execution has been demonstrated.
CVE-2026-93009 3 Dnsmasq, Red Hat, Redhat 9 Dnsmasq, Enterprise Linux, Ceph Storage and 6 more 2026-11-06 4.3 Medium
A flaw was found in dnsmasq. The DHCPv6 client hostname parser can read one byte past the end of a crafted FQDN option because it checks the next label length before confirming the pointer is still inside the option. An attacker on the local network can trigger this with a single DHCPv6 packet. The extra byte is not returned to the client or logged, and no crash has been demonstrated.
CVE-2026-90463 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 4 Medium
A flaw was found in the sssd NSS responder. This input validation vulnerability allows a local attacker, by sending specially crafted service lookup requests to the NSS responder's UNIX socket, to cause an out-of-bounds read. This out-of-bounds read may lead to a denial of service (DoS) by crashing the NSS responder process. While unprivileged local clients can typically reach the socket, there is no evidence of privilege escalation or reliable data disclosure.
CVE-2026-86564 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Openshift 2026-11-06 3.3 Low
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. Missing length validation before reading command_data in the virtio-net control-queue handler can cause an out-of-bounds read and a host process crash.
CVE-2026-85498 2 Polkit Project, Redhat 5 Polkit, Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird and 2 more 2026-11-06 3.5 Low
A flaw was found in polkit. When processing input that begins with a null byte, an arithmetic error in the authentication agent helper causes an integer underflow during buffer length calculation, resulting in an out-of-bounds memory read. An attacker capable of supplying crafted input can trigger this flaw, potentially causing an application crash and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-58997 1 Google 1 Android 2026-11-06 4.0 Medium
In validateImageInfo of Bitmap.cpp, there is a possible out-of-bounds read due to a precondition check failure. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
CVE-2026-59842 2 Libssh, Redhat 12 Libssh, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Els and 9 more 2026-11-06 3.7 Low
A flaw was found in libssh. During server-side GSSAPI key exchange, a client-supplied Curve25519 public key shorter than the expected length is copied without proper length validation, leading to an out-of-bounds heap read. This could allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to disclose small amounts of server memory.
CVE-2026-111959 1 Apache 1 Arrow Rust 2026-11-06 9.1 Critical
Out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Apache Arrow Rust (`arrow` crate), from version 33.0.0 through to versions 57.3.1, 58.4.0, 59.3.1 and 60.0.0. Improper validation of RunEndEncoded arrays in the ArrayData interface can allow reading data beyond the bounds of the child values array. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 60.1.0, 59.3.2, 58.4.1, 57.3.2 which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-55654 3 Openbsd, Openssh, Redhat 9 Openssh, Openssh, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2026-11-06 3.7 Low
A flaw was found in OpenSSH. This vulnerability, a heap out-of-bounds read, occurs during the cleanup of GSSAPI (Generic Security Service Application Programming Interface) indicators when a trailing NULL termination is missing in the auth-indicators array. A remote attacker, under specific configurations involving GSSAPI authentication and a Kerberos environment, could exploit this to cause the SSH authentication path to crash or abort. This leads to a denial of service (DoS), impacting the availability of the SSH service.
CVE-2026-112554 1 Apple 4 Ios And Ipados, Ipados, Iphone Os and 1 more 2026-11-06 7.5 High
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or read kernel memory.
CVE-2026-119924 2 Amazon, Aws 2 Amazon Aurora Postgresql With Babelfish, Babelfish-for-postgresql 2026-11-06 8.1 High
An out-of-bounds read in the TDS RPC procedure-name parser in the Babelfish for PostgreSQL extension versions 1.0-1.5, 2.1-2.15, 3.1-3.12, 4.0-4.8, 5.1-5.4 and in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL with Babelfish might allow remote authenticated users to read adjacent process memory or cause a denial of service via a malformed TDS RPC request to the TDS port (default 1433). To remediate this issue, we recommend users upgrade to Babelfish for PostgreSQL extension versions 4.10, 5.6, 6.1 or later. As a workaround, restrict network access to the TDS port (default 1433). Customers using Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL with Babelfish should upgrade their cluster to Aurora PostgreSQL 13.9.16 (1.5.5), 13.23.3 (1.17.2), 14.6.16 (2.3.5), 14.17.8 (2.12.4), 14.18.6 (2.13.3), 14.19.5 (2.14.2), 14.20.5 (2.15.2), 14.22.3 (2.16.1), 14.23.1 (2.17.0), 15.10.8 (3.8.4), 15.12.8 (3.9.4), 15.13.6 (3.10.3), 15.14.5 (3.11.2), 15.15.5 (3.12.2), 15.17.3 (3.13.1), 15.18.1 (3.14.0), 16.8.8 (4.5.5), 16.9.6 (4.6.3), 16.10.5 (4.7.2), 16.11.5 (4.8.2), 16.13.3 (4.9.1), 16.14.1 (4.10.0), 17.4.8 (5.1.4), 17.5.6 (5.2.3), 17.6.5 (5.3.2), 17.7.5 (5.4.2), 17.9.3 (5.5.1), 17.10.1 (5.6.0), 18.3.4 (6.0.2), 18.4.1 (6.1.0) or later, and apply any pending maintenance to ensure they are on the latest patch.
CVE-2026-2443 3 Gnome, Red Hat, Redhat 4 Libsoup, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-11-06 5.3 Medium
A flaw was identified in libsoup, a widely used HTTP library in GNOME-based systems. When processing specially crafted HTTP Range headers, the library may improperly validate requested byte ranges. In certain build configurations, this could allow a remote attacker to access portions of server memory beyond the intended response. Exploitation requires a vulnerable configuration and access to a server using the embedded SoupServer component.
CVE-2026-18090 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 6.1 Medium
A flaw was found in gdk-pixbuf. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a heap out-of-bounds read by providing a specially crafted Apple Icon Image (.icns) file. The uncompress() function, which handles RLE-encoded ICNS icon data, fails to validate the source buffer's boundaries during decompression. This can lead to a denial of service, where the application crashes, or to information disclosure, potentially revealing sensitive data from adjacent memory.
CVE-2026-17072 2 Gstreamer, Redhat 3 Good Plug-ins, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 3.3 Low
A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-good. A heap-based out-of-bounds read of 4 bytes can occur when parsing FLAC audio stream headers embedded in a Matroska or WebM container file. The vulnerability is triggered by a boundary check that does not account for the full size of the data being copied, allowing a small read past the end of the allocated buffer. An attacker could exploit this by crafting a malicious Matroska or WebM file and tricking a user into opening it, potentially leaking a small amount of adjacent heap memory.
CVE-2026-18747 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-11-06 6.8 Medium
The MCUmgr SMP-over-console transport decodes a base64 frame, reads a 16-bit packet length from it, verifies a CRC and then unconditionally strips the trailing CRC with rx_ctxt->nb->len -= 2U; in mcumgr_serial_process_frag() (subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c). mcumgr_serial_extract_len() accepted any declared length, including 0 and 1, and a packet declaring length 0 passes the checksum test for free because crc16_itu_t() over zero bytes returns the zero seed. Since net_buf::len is a uint16_t, the subtraction underflows and the buffer is handed to SMP claiming roughly 65 KB of payload while its data area is only CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_NETBUF_SIZE bytes (default 384). The trigger is a single unauthenticated 7-byte line on the management console — the 0x06 0x09 packet marker followed by the base64 group AAA= and a newline — delivered to any transport built on this helper: CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_UART (smp_uart.c) or CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SHELL (smp_shell.c), both of which select MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SERIAL_HAS_SMP_OVER_CONSOLE. No prior session state, fragmentation or credentials are required to trigger the underflow, and the malformed frame is mishandled before any command handler or command-level access control runs. The attacker only needs write access to that console, which on many boards is a USB CDC-ACM port rather than a bare UART header. With the inflated length, smp_process_request_packet() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/smp/src/smp.c loses its bound: cbor_nb_reader_init() gives the CBOR decoder a ~65 KB window into a 384-byte buffer, and each request header's nh_len is checked only against the inflated length. On its own the 7-byte frame re-parses whatever stale bytes the reused pool buffer still holds, typically a replay of the previously received request followed by a parse error, without leaving the buffer. Because the transport is unauthenticated, though, the attacker also controls the frames sent before the trigger, and can stage buffer contents so that a request succeeds with an nh_len larger than the buffer; net_buf_pull(), guarded only by __ASSERT_NO_MSG, then moves the parse cursor out of bounds and the loop reads further headers and CBOR from adjacent memory. The consequence is an out-of-bounds read that can fault the MCUmgr thread (denial of service); memory disclosure is also possible, since the default-enabled os echo handler (CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_OS_ECHO) decodes its string inside that window and copies it into its response. There is no integrity gain beyond what the unauthenticated transport already permits. The fix rejects any declared packet length of two bytes or fewer in mcumgr_serial_extract_len(), so the CRC-strip subtraction can no longer underflow. The identical pattern remains in the test-only loopback transport subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/smp_dummy.c (CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_DUMMY), which has no external input path and therefore carries no practical exposure.
CVE-2026-120740 2 Red Hat, Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Els 2026-11-06 2 Low
A flaw was found in hivex. By supplying a specially crafted Windows registry hive file, an attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds memory read when hivex parses registry values containing malformed large data block lists. This issue can cause the application processing the registry file to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
CVE-2026-12969 3 Dnsmasq, Redhat, Thekelleys 6 Dnsmasq, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 3 more 2026-11-06 5.3 Medium
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in dnsmasq's find_soa() function in src/rfc1035.c. When parsing NS section records, extract_name() is called with extrabytes=0, failing to validate that 10 additional bytes exist for fixed-length DNS record fields. A remote attacker controlling a DNS zone can exploit this via a crafted NXDOMAIN response to cause a 10-byte heap out-of-bounds read, potentially accessing stale data from prior transactions.
CVE-2026-2243 2 Red Hat, Redhat 5 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more 2026-11-06 5.1 Medium
A flaw was found in QEMU. A specially crafted VMDK image could trigger an out-of-bounds read vulnerability, potentially leading to a 12-byte leak of sensitive information or a denial of service condition (DoS).
