CVE-2026-115574 1 Zulip 1 Zulip 2026-11-05 5.3 Medium
Zulip is an open-source team collaboration tool. From 11.0 until 12.2, organizations with web-public channels enabled exposed the GET /json/users endpoint to logged-out spectators, and a missing access-control check allowed include_custom_profile_fields=true to return every user's custom profile field values in addition to the documented limited directory data. This exposed those custom profile field values to unauthenticated visitors. This issue is fixed in version 12.2.
CVE-2026-115474 1 Zulip 1 Zulip 2026-11-05 6.5 Medium
Zulip is an open-source team collaboration tool. From 8.0 until 12.2, in organizations where the Who can view all other users in the organization setting restricted guests from viewing other users, saving or editing a direct message draft did not verify that the sender could access the draft recipients. A guest could thereby gain access to otherwise restricted users' profile information without sending a message. Organizations that did not restrict guest access were unaffected. This issue is fixed in version 12.2.
CVE-2026-97701 1 Zulip 1 Zulip 2026-11-04 6.5 Medium
Zulip is an open-source team collaboration tool. In Zulip Server versions through 12.1, the authenticated POST /messages/render endpoint renders the content parameter without enforcing the normal message length limit used by message send and edit operations. An authenticated user can submit Markdown up to the server body-size limit, causing disproportionate backend CPU consumption, and repeated or concurrent requests can degrade Markdown rendering performance or backend availability for other users. This issue is fixed in version 12.2.
CVE-2025-52559 1 Zulip 2 Zulip, Zulip Server 2025-10-02 6.8 Medium
Zulip is an open-source team chat application. From versions 2.0.0-rc1 to before 10.4 in Zulip Server, the /digest/ URL of a server shows a preview of what the email weekly digest would contain. This URL, though not the digest itself, contains a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in both topic names and channel names. This issue has been fixed in Zulip Server 10.4. A workaround for this issue involves denying access to /digest/.
CVE-2017-0896 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2025-04-20 N/A
Zulip Server 1.5.1 and below suffer from an error in the implementation of the invite_by_admins_only setting in the Zulip group chat application server that allowed an authenticated user to invite other users to join a Zulip organization even if the organization was configured to prevent this.
CVE-2017-0881 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2025-04-20 N/A
An error in the implementation of an autosubscribe feature in the check_stream_exists route of the Zulip group chat application server before 1.4.3 allowed an authenticated user to subscribe to a private stream that should have required an invitation from an existing member to join. The issue affects all previously released versions of the Zulip server.
CVE-2017-0910 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2025-04-20 N/A
In Zulip Server before 1.7.1, on a server with multiple realms, a vulnerability in the invitation system lets an authorized user of one realm on the server create a user account on any other realm.
CVE-2021-30487 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2024-11-21 2.7 Low
In the topic moving API in Zulip Server 3.x before 3.4, organization administrators were able to move messages to streams in other organizations hosted by the same Zulip installation.
CVE-2021-30479 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2024-11-21 5.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Zulip Server before 3.4. A bug in the implementation of the all_public_streams API feature resulted in guest users being able to receive message traffic to public streams that should have been only accessible to members of the organization.
CVE-2021-30478 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2024-11-21 4.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Zulip Server before 3.4. A bug in the implementation of the can_forge_sender permission (previously is_api_super_user) resulted in users with this permission being able to send messages appearing as if sent by a system bot, including to other organizations hosted by the same Zulip installation.
CVE-2021-30477 1 Zulip 1 Zulip Server 2024-11-21 4.3 Medium
An issue was discovered in Zulip Server before 3.4. A bug in the implementation of replies to messages sent by outgoing webhooks to private streams meant that an outgoing webhook bot could be used to send messages to private streams that the user was not intended to be able to send messages to.
