| CVE-2026-118514 | 1 Symfony | 1 Symfony | 2026-11-06 | N/A |
| In Symfony http-foundation prior to versions 5.4.56, 6.4.50, 7.4.23, and 8.1.11, Symfony\Component\HttpFoundation\RequestMatcher, and RequestMatcher\MethodRequestMatcher which replaces it from 6.2.x on, matches a request against a list of HTTP methods. These compared the request method to the list verbatim, while the router serves a HEAD request with the GET handler, as HTTP semantics require. This came after the incomplete fix of CVE-2026-45075 https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-6439-2f28-8p8q , which addressed the same gap in the #[IsGranted], #[IsSignatureValid] and #[IsCsrfTokenValid] attributes only. Security rules configured to apply only to GET requests could therefore be bypassed by sending a HEAD request to the same URL. Although HEAD responses contain no body, attackers could still access response headers and trigger the controller's execution, including any side effects. This issue also affects firewalls configured with methods: [GET]. A HEAD request would not match that firewall and could instead be handled by another matching firewall or no firewall at all. Applications using these vulnerable request matchers directly, including through a custom firewall request_matcher, could also be affected. The issue affects symfony/http-foundation through v5.4.55, v6.x through 6.4.49, v7.x through v7.4.22, and v8.x through v8.1.10. | ||||
| CVE-2026-45063 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 2 Symfony, Symfony | 2026-07-15 | 9.1 Critical |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, X509Authenticator extracts the user identifier from $_SERVER['SSL_CLIENT_S_DN'] with an unanchored regex that matches emailAddress= anywhere in the distinguished name, allowing an attacker with a trusted certificate containing emailAddress=victim inside another RDN value such as CN to authenticate as the victim. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2001-1537 | 1 Symfony | 1 Twig | 2026-04-16 | 7.5 High |
| The default "basic" security setting' in config.php for TWIG webmail 2.7.4 and earlier stores cleartext usernames and passwords in cookies, which could allow attackers to obtain authentication information and gain privileges. | ||||
| CVE-2015-7809 | 1 Symfony | 1 Twig | 2025-04-12 | N/A |
| The displayBlock function Template.php in Sensio Labs Twig before 1.20.0, when Sandbox mode is enabled, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the _self variable in a template. | ||||
| CVE-2019-9942 | 2 Debian, Symfony | 2 Debian Linux, Twig | 2024-11-21 | 3.7 Low |
| A sandbox information disclosure exists in Twig before 1.38.0 and 2.x before 2.7.0 because, under some circumstances, it is possible to call the __toString() method on an object even if not allowed by the security policy in place. | ||||
| CVE-2018-13818 | 1 Symfony | 1 Twig | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
| Twig before 2.4.4 allows Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) via the search search_key parameter. NOTE: the vendor points out that Twig itself is not a web application and states that it is the responsibility of web applications using Twig to properly wrap input to it | ||||
