CVE-2026-55458 1 Caddyserver 1 Caddy 2026-11-05 3.7 Low
Caddy is an extensible server platform that uses TLS by default. Prior to 2.11.5, the reverse proxy's finalizeResponse method in modules/caddyhttp/reverseproxy/reverseproxy.go handles an upstream 101 Switching Protocols response before running removeConnectionHeaders and the hopHeaders deletion loop used for ordinary responses. The early return invokes handleUpgradeResponse, which copies the upstream headers to the client and normalizes only WebSocket-specific header names. An attacker who controls or compromises a proxied WebSocket upstream can therefore cause hop-by-hop headers such as Alt-Svc, Keep-Alive, and Proxy-Authenticate, as well as headers named by Connection, to cross the proxy boundary. For HTTP/2 or HTTP/3 extended CONNECT, the upstream 101 response may be represented to the client as an ordinary successful response, increasing the chance that leaked headers are processed. This issue is fixed in version 2.11.5.
CVE-2018-21246 1 Caddyserver 1 Caddy 2024-11-21 9.8 Critical
Caddy before 0.10.13 mishandles TLS client authentication, as demonstrated by an authentication bypass caused by the lack of the StrictHostMatching mode.
CVE-2018-19148 1 Caddyserver 1 Caddy 2024-11-21 N/A
Caddy through 0.11.0 sends incorrect certificates for certain invalid requests, making it easier for attackers to enumerate hostnames. Specifically, when unable to match a Host header with a vhost in its configuration, it serves the X.509 certificate for a randomly selected vhost in its configuration. Repeated requests (with a nonexistent hostname in the Host header) permit full enumeration of all certificates on the server. This generally permits an attacker to easily and accurately discover the existence of and relationships among hostnames that weren't meant to be public, though this information could likely have been discovered via other methods with additional effort.
