CVE-2026-68179 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: nsm: only unlock nsm_dev on post-lock error paths nsm_dev_ioctl() jumps to the common out label even when the initial copy_from_user() fails before nsm->lock has been taken. The error path then blindly unlocks a mutex that was never acquired. This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then manually reviewed against the current tree. The grounded PoC kept the miscdevice ioctl entry and the pre-lock copy_from_user(&raw, argp, _IOC_SIZE(cmd)) failure path by issuing NSM_IOCTL_RAW with an invalid user pointer. That failure reaches the shared out label before mutex_lock(&nsm->lock). Lockdep reported: WARNING: bad unlock balance detected! exploit/193 is trying to release lock (&global_nsm.lock) at: nsm_dev_ioctl+0x5f/0xcf [vuln_msv] but there are no more locks to release! no locks held by exploit/193. Return immediately on the pre-lock copy_from_user() failure and keep the common unlock label for the post-lock paths only.
CVE-2026-80618 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-31 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Avoid double-unpin of DOORBELL/MMIO BOs on free amdgpu_amdkfd_gpuvm_free_memory_of_gpu() unpinned DOORBELL and MMIO remap BOs (which are pinned at allocation time) before checking whether the BO is still mapped to the GPU. When the BO is still mapped, the function returns -EBUSY and leaves the BO alive, but it has already been unpinned. The BO is then unpinned again when it is finally freed during process teardown, triggering a ttm_bo_unpin() underflow warning: WARNING: CPU: 18 PID: 15066 at ttm/ttm_bo.c:650 amdttm_bo_unpin+0x6d/0x80 [amdttm] Workqueue: kfd_process_wq kfd_process_wq_release [amdgpu] RIP: 0010:amdttm_bo_unpin+0x6d/0x80 [amdttm] Call Trace: amdgpu_bo_unpin+0x1a/0x90 [amdgpu] amdgpu_amdkfd_gpuvm_unpin_bo+0x31/0xb0 [amdgpu] amdgpu_amdkfd_gpuvm_free_memory_of_gpu+0x3bf/0x460 [amdgpu] kfd_process_free_outstanding_kfd_bos+0xd4/0x170 [amdgpu] kfd_process_wq_release+0x109/0x1b0 [amdgpu] process_one_work+0x1e2/0x3b0 worker_thread+0x50/0x3a0 kthread+0xdd/0x100 ret_from_fork+0x29/0x50 Move the unpin after the mapped_to_gpu_memory check so it only happens once we are committed to freeing the BO. CVE-2026-80626 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/perf: fix preempt count underflow in fsl_emb_pmu_del fsl_emb_pmu_del() unconditionally calls put_cpu_var(cpu_hw_events) at the 'out:' label, but only calls the matching get_cpu_var() after the 'i < 0' early-return check. When event->hw.idx is negative the function jumps to 'out:' without having taken get_cpu_var(), and the trailing put_cpu_var() then issues an unmatched preempt_enable(), underflowing preempt_count. On a CONFIG_PREEMPT=y kernel preempt_count would underflow and eventually present as a 'scheduling while atomic' BUG. Move put_cpu_var() to pair with get_cpu_var() so the percpu access is correctly bracketed and the 'out:' label only handles perf_pmu_enable.
CVE-2026-68280 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: cdns-dsi: Replace deprecated UNIVERSAL_DEV_PM_OPS() The deprecated UNIVERSAL_DEV_PM_OPS() macro uses the provided callbacks for both runtime PM and system sleep. This causes the DSI clocks to be disabled twice: once during runtime suspend and again during system suspend, resulting in a WARN message from the clock framework when attempting to disable already-disabled clocks. [ 84.384540] clk:231:5 already disabled [ 84.388314] WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 531 at /drivers/clk/clk.c:1181 clk_core_disable+0xa4/0xac ... Bridge and panel drivers should only deal with runtime PM, as the DRM framework manages system-wide power transitions through the bridge enable() and disable() hooks.
CVE-2026-72368 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cachefiles: Fix double unlock in nomem_d_alloc error path When start_creating() fails and returns -ENOMEM, it has already released the parent directory lock in __start_dirop(): static struct dentry *__start_dirop(...) { ... inode_lock_nested(dir, I_MUTEX_PARENT); dentry = lookup_one_qstr_excl(name, parent, lookup_flags); if (IS_ERR(dentry)) inode_unlock(dir); <-- Lock released on error return dentry; } However, the nomem_d_alloc error path in cachefiles_get_directory() unconditionally calls inode_unlock(d_inode(dir)) again, causing a double unlock that corrupts the rwsem state. This is a leftover from commit 7ab96df840e60 which replaced manual locking with start_creating() but failed to update the nomem_d_alloc path (while correctly updating mkdir_error and lookup_error paths).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Fix double unlock in rxrpc_recvmsg() Fix a double unlock in rxrpc_recvmsg() when dealing with OOB messages.
CVE-2026-43305 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix mismatched unlock for DMUB HW lock in HWSS fast path [Why] The evaluation for whether we need to use the DMUB HW lock isn't the same as whether we need to unlock which results in a hang when the fast path is used for ASIC without FAMS support. [How] Store a flag that indicates whether we should use the lock and use that same flag to specify whether unlocking is needed.
