CVSS v3.1 |
| Adobe Illustrator CC versions 23.1 and earlier have a binary planting vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to local code execution. |
| A flaw was found in libssh. This vulnerability allows local man-in-the-middle attacks, security downgrades of SSH (Secure Shell) connections, and manipulation of trusted host information, posing a significant risk to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SSH communications via an insecure default configuration on Windows systems where the library automatically loads configuration files from the C:\etc directory, which can be created and modified by unprivileged local users. |
| Mistral Vibe before 2.25.5 on Windows contains an untrusted search path vulnerability that allows attackers to execute code by placing git.exe in a repository root. Attackers can lure users into opening a crafted repository so SessionLogger and ProjectContextProvider run the malicious git.exe at session start before any trust prompt. |
| The Windows installers of Apache OpenOffice 4.1.16 and earlier allow an already manipulated system to run external code with elevated access.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.1.17, which fixes this issue. |
| GnuPG (version 2.5.21) for Windows contains a vulnerability where default Discretionary Access Control List (DACL) inheritance on the C:\ProgramData directory allows members of the BUILTIN\Users group to create arbitrary subdirectories under this path. An attacker with low-privilege access can create the expected GnuPG configuration directory and inject malicious configuration files consumed by GnuPG components. This can result in code execution within the security context of the victim user. |
| pgAdmin 4 runs pg_dump, pg_restore, pg_dumpall and psql from the binary path a user sets in their preferences. In server mode the binary path was refused only when it lay under the per-user storage directory (STORAGE_DIR), not under a SHARED_STORAGE directory, which ordinary users can upload files to. A user could therefore upload an executable to shared storage, point their binary path at it, and have pgAdmin run it as the operating-system account running pgAdmin. On POSIX, files created through pgAdmin are not executable, so this is exploitable where any file with an executable name can run, such as Windows server mode.
The fix checks the binary path against every SHARED_STORAGE directory as well, after expanding $DIR, collapsing ".." and resolving symbolic links, compares directories in a way a different spelling on a case-insensitive filesystem cannot bypass, refuses a path containing a NUL, and enforces the check wherever binary paths are resolved, including for the PSQL tool.
This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19. |
| SAP GUI for Windows allows DLL files to be loaded from arbitrary directories within the application. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a victim to place a malicious DLL within one of these directories. The malicious command is executed in the victim user's context provided GuiXT is enabled. This vulnerability has a low impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. |
| DLL preloading vulnerability in versions 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 of Autodesk Advanced Steel, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Plant 3D and version 2017 of AutoCAD P&ID. An attacker may trick a user into opening a malicious DWG file that may leverage a DLL preloading vulnerability in AutoCAD which may result in code execution. |
| In Python 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.8, 3.8 through 3.8.4rc1, and 3.9 through 3.9.0b4 on Windows, a Trojan horse python3.dll might be used in cases where CPython is embedded in a native application. This occurs because python3X.dll may use an invalid search path for python3.dll loading (after Py_SetPath has been used). NOTE: this issue CANNOT occur when using python.exe from a standard (non-embedded) Python installation on Windows. |
| In Python (CPython) 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.6, and 3.8 through 3.8.1, an insecure dependency load upon launch on Windows 7 may result in an attacker's copy of api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll being loaded and used instead of the system's copy. Windows 8 and later are unaffected. |
| A non-privileged user or program can put code and a config file in a known non-privileged path (under C:/usr/local/) that will make curl <= 7.65.1 automatically run the code (as an openssl "engine") on invocation. If that curl is invoked by a privileged user it can do anything it wants. |
| A untrusted search path vulnerability in Fortinet may allow attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via network exploitable |
| A untrusted search path vulnerability in Fortinet may allow attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via network exploitable |
| Untrusted search path vulnerability in the installers of ScanSnap Manager prior to versions V7.0L20 and the Software Download Installer prior to WinSSInst2JP.exe and WinSSInst2iX1500JP.exe allows an attacker to gain privileges and execute arbitrary code with the privilege of the user invoking the installer via a Trojan horse DLL in an unspecified directory. |
| A vulnerability has been found in Mechrevo Control Center GX V2 5.56.51.48. Affected is an unknown function of the file C:\Program Files\OEM\机械革命控制中心\AiStoneService\MyControlCenter\Command of the component Powershell Script Handler. Such manipulation leads to uncontrolled search path. The attack needs to be performed locally. Attacks of this nature are highly complex. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Mechrevo Control Center GX V2 5.56.51.48. Impacted is an unknown function of the component reg File Handler. The manipulation results in uncontrolled search path. The attack needs to be approached locally. The attack requires a high level of complexity. The exploitability is considered difficult. The exploit is now public and may be used. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SINEC NMS (All versions < V4.0 SP2). The affected application permits improper modification of a configuration file by a low-privileged user.
This could allow an attacker to load malicious DLLs, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution with administrative privilege.(ZDI-CAN-28107) |
| MemProcFS before 5.17 contains multiple unsafe library-loading patterns that enable DLL and shared-library hijacking across six attack surfaces, including bare-name LoadLibraryU and dlopen calls without path qualification for vmmpyc, libMSCompression, and plugin DLLs. An attacker who places a malicious DLL or shared library in the working directory or manipulates LD_LIBRARY_PATH can achieve arbitrary code execution when MemProcFS loads. |
| IBM Trusteer Rapport installer 3.5.2309.290 IBM Trusteer Rapport could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by DLL uncontrolled search path element vulnerability. By placing a specially crafted file in a compromised folder, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system. |
| Opera 7.54 and earlier on Gentoo Linux uses an insecure path for plugins, which could allow local users to gain privileges by inserting malicious libraries into the PORTAGE_TMPDIR (portage) temporary directory. |
