CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in the token exchange mechanism of Keycloak. When using Standard Token Exchange V2, the system issues new tokens with a fresh lifetime based on the requester clients configuration instead of limiting it to the original tokens expiration. This issue allows an authenticated requester to indefinitely extend access for service accounts by repeatedly exchanging tokens, even if the original client has been disabled by an administrator. |
| sshd in OpenSSH before 10.6p2 on Linux, when musl libc is used without PAM, lacks a workaround for a password authentication bypass (related to misinterpretation of whether a string is intended to be a password hash). For some configurations of accounts, any password between 256 and 1024 characters succeeds. An example of a platform using musl libc without PAM is Alpine Linux. |
| OAuthLib is an implementation of the OAuth request-signing logic for Python 3.6+. From 3.3.0 until 4.0.1, OAuthLib's RFC 8628 device workflow does not require DeviceCodeGrant.validate_token_request to check that the device_code parameter is present and valid. A caller whose client request is accepted by the configured validator and who knows a valid client ID enabled for the device workflow can submit a missing or bogus device code to the token endpoint and obtain a bearer token without completing device authorization. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.1. |
| The Model Context Protocol TypeScript SDK provides TypeScript client and server implementations of the Model Context Protocol. From 1.6.0 until 1.32.0 in @modelcontextprotocol/sdk, from 2.0.0 until 2.3.0 in @modelcontextprotocol/server, from 2.0.0 until 2.0.2 in @modelcontextprotocol/express, and from 2.0.0 until 2.3.1 in @modelcontextprotocol/server-legacy, server-side bearer authentication could accept a valid access token issued for a different service because the SDK did not enforce the token audience. The affected surface is server-side HTTP bearer authentication. The trigger is a valid token whose audience names another service. The authorization server must issue tokens for multiple services, and the application's verifyAccessToken() must not independently validate aud. Applications already validating aud inside verifyAccessToken() are not affected. An attacker with a token for another service could authenticate to the MCP server and obtain the confidentiality and integrity capabilities granted to an authenticated caller. Upgrading alone leaves the new audience validation disabled. Operators must enable audience validation and provide the token audience together. Enabling only the expected audience check causes every request to receive HTTP 401. This issue is fixed in @modelcontextprotocol/sdk 1.32.0, @modelcontextprotocol/server 2.3.0, @modelcontextprotocol/express 2.0.2, and @modelcontextprotocol/server-legacy 2.3.1. |
| In adbd_tls_verify_cert of auth.cpp, there is a possible bypass of wireless ADB mutual authentication due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to remote (proximal/adjacent) code execution as the shell user with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| The JwtAccessTokenValidator class in Apache CXF fails to validate the 'aud' (Audience) claims of incoming JWT access tokens. This allows a JWT issued for one Resource Server to be successfully replayed against a completely different Resource Server, leading to Token Confusion/Routing attacks. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.2 or 4.1.7 or 3.6.12, which fixes this issue. |
| Incorrect Implementation of Authentication Algorithm in the password-reset and login JWT validation in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows an attacker who has obtained a user's password-reset token (via email interception, log exposure, or a man-in-the-middle on the mail transport) to authenticate as that user and obtain a full, unrestricted session, including administrative access if the targeted account is an administrator, by submitting the token directly to the login endpoint instead of the intended password-change flow. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: auth: verify auth requirement when auth_chunk is NULL
sctp_auth_chunk_verify() returns true unconditionally when
chunk->auth_chunk is NULL, silently skipping authentication.
This is incorrect when:
1. skb_clone() failed in the BH receive path, leaving auth_chunk
NULL. In sctp_endpoint_bh_rcv() asoc is NULL for new
connections, so the early sctp_auth_recv_cid() check cannot
catch this.
2. No AUTH chunk precedes COOKIE-ECHO, so skb_clone() is never
called and auth_chunk remains NULL.
Fix by checking sctp_auth_recv_cid() when auth_chunk is NULL:
if authentication is required, return false to drop the chunk;
otherwise continue normally. |
| libcurl can in some circumstances reuse the wrong connection when asked to do
an Negotiate-authenticated HTTP or HTTPS request.
libcurl features a pool of recent connections so that subsequent requests can
reuse an existing connection to avoid overhead.
When reusing a connection a range of criterion must first be met. Due to a
logical error in the code, a request that was issued by an application could
wrongfully reuse an existing connection to the same server that was
authenticated using different credentials. One underlying reason being that
Negotiate sometimes authenticates *connections* and not *requests*, contrary
to how HTTP is designed to work.
An application that allows Negotiate authentication to a server (that responds
wanting Negotiate) with `user1:password1` and then does another operation to
the same server also using Negotiate but with `user2:password2` (while the
previous connection is still alive) - the second request wrongly reused the
same connection and since it then sees that the Negotiate negotiation is
already made, it sends the request over that connection thinking it uses
the user2 credentials when it is in fact still using the connection
authenticated for user1...
The set of authentication methods to use is set with `CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH`.
Applications can disable libcurl's reuse of connections and thus mitigate this
problem, by using one of the following libcurl options to alter how
connections are or are not reused: `CURLOPT_FRESH_CONNECT`,
`CURLOPT_MAXCONNECTS` and `CURLMOPT_MAX_HOST_CONNECTIONS` (if using the
curl_multi API). |
| MiCode FileExplorer contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the embedded SwiFTP FTP server component that allows network attackers to log in without valid credentials. Attackers can send arbitrary username and password combinations to the PASS command handler, which unconditionally grants access and allows listing, reading, writing, and deleting files exposed by the FTP server. The MiCode/Explorer open source project has reached end-of-life status. |
| EspoCRM 5.7.0 prior to 5.9.0 contains an authentication token reuse vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to bypass two-factor authentication by exploiting token-to-password-hash mapping in application/Espo/Core/Utils/Authentication/Espo.php. Attackers can obtain an authentication token for a controlled account and replay it against any victim account sharing the same password, since tokens are bound to password hashes rather than unique per-user values, bypassing the victim's 2FA protections. |
| Tillitis TKey Client package is a Go package for a TKey client. Versions 1.2.0 and below contain a critical bug in the tkeyclient Go module which causes 1 out of every 256 User Supplied Secrets (USS) to be silently ignored, producing the same Compound Device Identifier (CDI)—and thus the same key material—as if no USS is provided. This happens because a buffer index error overwrites the USS-enabled boolean with the first byte of the USS digest, so any USS whose hash starts with 0x00 is effectively discarded. This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.0. Users unable to upgrade immediately should switch to a USS whose hash does not begin with a zero byte. |
| CLIENT_CERT authentication does not fail as expected for some scenarios when soft fail is disabled vulnerability in Apache Tomcat, Apache Tomcat Native.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.18, from 10.1.0-M7 through 10.1.52, from 9.0.83 through 9.0.115; Apache Tomcat Native: from 1.1.23 through 1.1.34, from 1.2.0 through 1.2.39, from 1.3.0 through 1.3.6, from 2.0.0 through 2.0.13.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version Tomcat Native 1.3.7 or 2.0.14 and Tomcat 11.0.20, 10.1.53 and 9.0.116, which fix the issue. |
| CLIENT_CERT authentication does not fail as expected for some scenarios when soft fail is disabled and FFM is used in Apache Tomcat.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M14 through 11.0.20, from 10.1.22 through 10.1.53, from 9.0.92 through 9.0.116.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.21, 10.1.54 or 9.0.117, which fixes the issue. |
| Sricam DeviceViewer 3.12.0.1 contains a password change security bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to change passwords without proper validation of the old password field. Attackers can inject a large payload into the old password parameter during the change password process to bypass validation and set an arbitrary new password. |
| Grafana is an open-source platform for monitoring and observability. Versions prior to 9.2.4, or 8.5.15 on the 8.X branch, are subject to Improper Input Validation. Grafana admins can invite other members to the organization they are an admin for. When admins add members to the organization, non existing users get an email invite, existing members are added directly to the organization. When an invite link is sent, it allows users to sign up with whatever username/email address the user chooses and become a member of the organization. This introduces a vulnerability which can be used with malicious intent. This issue is patched in version 9.2.4, and has been backported to 8.5.15. There are no known workarounds. |
| The Newtec Celox UHD (models: CELOXA504, CELOXA820) running firmware version celox-21.6.13 is vulnerable to an authentication bypass. An attacker can exploit this issue by modifying intercepted responses from the /celoxservice endpoint. By injecting a forged response body during the loginWithUserName flow, the attacker can gain Superuser or Operator access without providing valid credentials. |
| Nextcloud Server before 9.0.54 and 10.0.1 & ownCloud Server before 9.1.2, 9.0.6, and 8.2.9 suffer from SMB User Authentication Bypass. Nextcloud/ownCloud include an optional and not by default enabled SMB authentication component that allows authenticating users against an SMB server. This backend is implemented in a way that tries to connect to a SMB server and if that succeeded consider the user logged-in. The backend did not properly take into account SMB servers that have any kind of anonymous auth configured. This is the default on SMB servers nowadays and allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain access to an account without valid credentials. Note: The SMB backend is disabled by default and requires manual configuration in the Nextcloud/ownCloud config file. If you have not configured the SMB backend then you're not affected by this vulnerability. |
| This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of TP-Link TL-WR940N 6_211111 3.20.1(US) routers. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the httpd service, which listens on TCP port 80 by default. The issue results from the incorrect implementation of the authentication algorithm. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise. Was ZDI-CAN-17332. |
| Apollos Apps is an open source platform for launching church-related apps. In Apollos Apps versions prior to 2.20.0, new user registrations are able to access anyone's account by only knowing their basic profile information (name, birthday, gender, etc). This includes all app functionality within the app, as well as any authenticated links to Rock-based webpages (such as giving and events). There is a patch in version 2.20.0. As a workaround, one can patch one's server by overriding the `create` data source method on the `People` class. |
