An authentication bypass using an alternate path or channel vulnerability in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiAnalyzer 7.4.0 through 7.4.7, FortiAnalyzer 7.2.2 through 7.2.12, FortiManager 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiManager 7.4.0 through 7.4.7, FortiManager 7.2.2 through 7.2.12 may allow an attacker with knowledge of the admins password to bypass multifactor authentication checks via submitting multiple crafted requests.
Authentication Bypass Using an Alternate Path or Channel vulnerability in Drupal DocCheck Basic allows Authentication Bypass. This issue affects DocCheck Basic versions: 7.x.
ABP Framework before 10.7.1 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that skips account state and two-factor checks when password login succeeds through a registered IExternalLoginProvider. Attackers holding the external directory password for deactivated, locked, or 2FA-protected accounts can obtain valid access tokens from the /connect/token password grant.
Authentication Bypass Using an Alternate Path or Channel vulnerability in Drupal CAPTCHA allows Functionality Bypass. This issue affects CAPTCHA versions: from 0.0.0 to 1.18.0, from 2.0.0 to 2.0.11.
Authentication Bypass Using an Alternate Path or Channel vulnerability in Drupal OAuth Login - OAuth OIDC SSO allows Authentication Bypass. This issue affects OAuth Login - OAuth OIDC SSO versions: from 0.0.0 to 3.1.1.
Authentication Bypass Using an Alternate Path or Channel vulnerability in Drupal OpenID Connect Client allows Authentication Bypass. This issue affects OpenID Connect Client versions: from 0.0.0 to 2.3.1.
| The Symfony Security HTTP component AuthenticatorManager::authenticateUser() does not run the firewall user checker’s checkPostAuth() method when a user is authenticated programmatically, allowing an account rejected by a custom user checker, such as an expired account, to be authenticated in Symfony versions prior to 5.4.56, 6.x prior to 6.4.50, 7.x prior to 7.4.23, and 8.x prior to 8.1.11.
AuthenticatorManager::authenticateUser() is used by UserAuthenticatorInterface::authenticateUser() and by the SecurityBundle’s Security::login() to authenticate a user programmatically, but it does not dispatch the security.authentication.success event, on which checkPostAuth() runs. The fix for CVE-2024-50341 made Security::login() call checkPreAuth(), but checkPostAuth() was still skipped. As a result, an account rejected by a custom user checker in checkPostAuth() is refused by form login and the other authenticators of the firewall, but can still be authenticated programmatically.
Applications are affected when they use a custom user checker that rejects users in checkPostAuth() and authenticate users programmatically, for example after a password reset or an e-mail verification link. A user whose account is rejected can then obtain an authenticated session through that flow. The default user checker does nothing in checkPostAuth(), so the default configuration is not affected.
The fix makes AuthenticatorManager::authenticateUser() dispatch the security.authentication.success event once the token is created and before it is stored, as authentications through the firewall do, so that checkPostAuth() runs and can reject the user. |
Lago through 1.55.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows organization administrators to obtain session tokens for existing accounts via the acceptInvite mutation without a password check. Attackers can invite a victim's email, accept with an arbitrary password, and receive a JWT to access the victim's organizations, billing data, API keys and payment integrations.
| Apache Kafka Connect contains an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting the admin REST API when admin.listeners is configured with a separate listener from the main listeners property.
When operators isolate the admin REST API by explicitly configuring the "admin.listeners" property, REST extensions specified via rest.extension.classes (such as BasicAuthSecurityRestExtension) are not registered or applied to the admin resource configuration.
While the primary REST API listener (configured via listeners) enforces configured authentication and authorization filters, endpoints mounted under the separate admin listener (/admin/loggers) fail to inherit or instantiate these extension filters. As a result, the admin logger endpoint accepts unauthenticated read and write requests even when security extensions are active on the main listener.
Impact:
An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the admin listener can:
1. Read the complete set of logger names and levels, disclosing loaded class names and which security extensions are in use.
2. Write logger levels, including with scope=cluster which propagates the change to all workers in the Connect cluster. This can be used to suppress
logging (setting root to OFF) or generate excessive log output (setting root to TRACE), potentially impacting availability and observability.
Mitigation:
Users who cannot upgrade immediately can remove the admin.listeners configuration (or leave it unset). When unset, admin resources share the regular listener and inherit its security extensions.
Resolution:
From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0, we make sure the REST extensions specified via "rest.extension.classes" will also apply to "admin.listeners". |
A flaw was found in Dogtag PKI's ACME responder where the web.xml security constraints use exact URL pattern matching for admin-only enable/disable endpoints. By appending a trailing slash to the URL, an unauthenticated attacker can bypass the Tomcat authentication constraint while RESTEasy still routes the request to the handler, allowing unauthorized toggling of the ACME service state including persistent denial of service.
StorageGRID (formerly StorageGRID Webscale) versions 11.3 and higher allow an attacker with product-specific knowledge and the ability to communicate with the Grid Network on certain ports to make unauthorized requests.
All versions of StorageGRID (formerly StorageGRID Webscale) in default & common configurations allow an unauthenticated attacker to access a limited set of APIs that are intended for use within the grid.
Incorrect authorization in RequestHandler in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to bypass the authentication requirement of a protected view by appending it as a path suffix to a public request (e.g., /catalog/control/ListLocales/showPortalPage), causing the servlet to authorize the request based on the public path component while rendering the protected suffix view. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue.
In Secret Server on-prem versions earlier than 12.3.1, a user could cause a two-factor pin code to be generated for any account without prior authentication, then bypass the initial login step and authenticate using the second factor alone.
OpenHuman is an open-source agent harness available as a desktop application and Rust library. Before 0.56.0, the core server protects HTTP POST requests to /rpc with bearer middleware but exposes Socket.IO rpc:request and chat:start handlers without equivalent transport or handler-level authentication. A local unauthenticated client can connect to the Socket.IO namespace and dispatch requests through the same protected controller path that rejects a missing bearer on /rpc. Depending on the selected method, the attacker can read configuration or health data, start agent flows, interact with integrated account APIs, alter local data, or stop and restart services. This issue is fixed in version 0.56.0.
Missing authorization enforcement in RequestHandler.renderView in Apache OFBiz 24.09 before 24.09.08 on all platforms allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to bypass the request-map authentication policy for protected views by supplying a crafted _LAST_VIEW_NAME_ value, which is stored as saved-view state in the anonymous session and later rendered without re-applying the original view's authentication requirement, potentially exposing protected views and associated business data. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 24.09.08, which fixes this issue.
The issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in Safari 17.5, iOS 16.7.8 and iPadOS 16.7.8, iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5, macOS Sonoma 14.5, tvOS 17.5, watchOS 10.5. An attacker with arbitrary read and write capability may be able to bypass Pointer Authentication.
GLPI is a free asset and IT management software package. From 11.0.0 until 11.0.8, during the login phase, an unauthenticated user could use a crafted URL to skip one-time-password verification, defeating two-factor authentication. This issue is fixed in version 11.0.8.
Traccar is an open source GPS tracking system. From 5.1 until 6.15.0, WebModule.java's MediaFilter Guice mapping and WebServer.java's Jetty ResourceServlet assign different routing meanings to path parameters at /api/media/*. An unauthenticated attacker who knows or guesses a device unique ID and media filename can insert a semicolon at the Servlet boundary, bypass MediaFilter's session and device authorization checks, and retrieve the protected media because Jetty still dispatches the noncanonical path to ResourceServlet. The demonstrated impact is read-only disclosure of a protected device media file; depending on the deployment and stored media, this could expose photographs, audio, video, or other uploaded files. The advisory does not establish directory listing, traversal, modification, account takeover, denial of service, or code execution. Reverse proxies that reject or rewrite semicolon path parameters may block the request. This issue is fixed in version 6.15.0.
An integer overflow vulnerability in the WebSocket connection handling used by WatchGuard Fireware OS's Access Portal allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to write beyond the bounds of a heap buffer by sending a specially crafted request while the Access Portal feature is enabled.
