CVE-2026-98809 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: don't drain cmd_sync backlog on unregister hci_unregister_dev() disables cmd_work and cmd_timer, then calls hci_cmd_sync_clear(), whose cancel_work_sync() waits for hci_cmd_sync_work() to return. That worker dequeues and runs every entry on cmd_sync_work_list. With cmd_work disabled nothing reaches the controller, so each queued HCI command waits the full HCI_CMD_TIMEOUT (2s). The backlog has no bound. Userspace can keep queuing MGMT commands such as MGMT_OP_GET_CLOCK_INFO against a controller that doesn't answer. Closing /dev/vhci then blocks in vhci_release() for backlog * 2s: INFO: task syz-executor:5749 blocked for more than 143 seconds. cancel_work_sync hci_cmd_sync_clear hci_unregister_dev vhci_release In a local reproduction the backlog held more than 5000 entries, which comes to hours of hang. Stop the worker from taking new entries once HCI_UNREGISTER is set, and wake any request still waiting with -ENODEV before cancelling the work. The entries left over are destroyed with -ECANCELED by the existing sweep in hci_cmd_sync_clear(). They stay on the list until the work has stopped, so hci_cmd_sync_dequeue() and friends still see them. A callback already running may still issue another command, which delays unregister by at most one timeout per remaining command, not by the whole backlog.
CVE-2026-80996 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: l2tp: do not propagate multicast notification errors The tunnel create, tunnel modify, session create, and session modify netlink handlers send multicast notifications through helpers that can fail while allocating or encoding a message, or while multicasting it. For tunnel and session create/modify, a notification is sent after the live operation has completed. Returning a best-effort notification error as the command result can therefore report failure for an operation that already committed and can cause callers to retry and accumulate live objects. Keep sending notifications for listener visibility, but do not propagate their best-effort status as the command result. This also keeps the tunnel modify command consistent with the other notification-only paths.
CVE-2026-80554 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 9.3 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Limit the number of channel program segments The processing of channel programs, and the CCWs within them, is done recursively. As such, there is an arbitrary (but not architectural) limit to the number of CCWs that can exist in a single channel program. The vfio-ccw logic breaks these channel programs into segments whenever it encounters a Transfer-In-Channel (TIC) CCW, and the combined number of segments count towards the global limit. Impose an equivalent limit to the number of segments until such logic can be made non-recursive.
CVE-2026-74713 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost_iotlb: bound map allocation in add_range vhost_iotlb_add_range_ctx() only retires an old entry when the table has a non-zero limit, has exactly reached that limit and has VHOST_IOTLB_FLAG_RETIRE set. Non-retiring tables can keep allocating entries after reaching their configured limit. Existing vhost devices allocate their IOTLB with max_iotlb_entries from vhost.c, which defaults to 2048 and is tunable by module parameter. Use the caller-provided limit at the allocation point instead of adding a separate default in the common IOTLB helper, and reject non-positive values in vhost paths that can report an error. Other vhost IOTLB users should not create zero-limit tables when entries can be populated from userspace or guest-controlled requests. Add caller-side max_iotlb_entries parameters for mlx5 vDPA, VDUSE and vhost-vDPA. Reject non-positive VDUSE and vhost-vDPA values, and require at least two entries for vdpa_sim and mlx5 vDPA paths that install full-range mappings, since those mappings are split into two IOTLB entries. Handle full-range mappings in the common helper by checking that the IOTLB can hold both split entries before inserting the first half. This avoids returning an error after leaving a half mapping behind. When the table is full, keep the existing retire behavior for retiring tables and return -ENOSPC for non-retiring tables. Reuse the retired map node instead of freeing it and allocating a replacement, so a stream of IOTLB updates cannot keep forcing GFP_ATOMIC allocations after the table has reached its limit. If a zero-limit IOTLB still reaches the common helper, treat it as a configuration error and return -EINVAL. I found this bug myself, though the patch was written with AI assistance.
CVE-2024-50285 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: check outstanding simultaneous SMB operations If Client send simultaneous SMB operations to ksmbd, It exhausts too much memory through the "ksmbd_work_cacheā€. It will cause OOM issue. ksmbd has a credit mechanism but it can't handle this problem. This patch add the check if it exceeds max credits to prevent this problem by assuming that one smb request consumes at least one credit.

A weakness has been identified in nschloe meshio up to 5.3.5. Impacted is an unknown function of the file meshio/_vtk_42.py of the component VTK Reader. Executing a manipulation of the argument DIMENSIONS can lead to uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack can be executed remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-116694 1 Opentelemetry 1 Opentelemetry-python 2026-10-28 5.3 Medium
OpenTelemetry Python provides the Python API and SDK for OpenTelemetry. Prior to 1.45.0, JaegerPropagator.extract() in opentelemetry-propagator-jaeger processes inbound uberctx-* baggage values without entry, per-entry byte, or total-byte limits. Services that enable the optional Jaeger propagator can perform unnecessary CPU work and short-lived heap allocations when an untrusted carrier supplies numerous or oversized values, contributing to denial of service when transport-level limits do not constrain the input. Common default Python HTTP server limits reduce the practical impact, while custom getters, non-HTTP transports, or raised header limits increase exposure. This issue is fixed in version 1.45.0.

CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).
CVE-2026-72495 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 9.3 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Avoid repeated requests to allocate WC pages Applications can request multiple WC pages for the same ucontext. As of now, only 1 WC page per ucontext is supported. Add a lock to avoid concurrent access and a check to fail repeated requests. Also, if the mmap entry insert fails for the WC, free the Doorbell page index mapped for the WC page.
CVE-2026-74542 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix folio_queue ENOMEM in writeback by adding a mempool Fix the handling of folio_queue allocation failure in writeback by adding a mempool and passing in gfp_t flags to the rolling buffer functions that allocate memory, using the mempool if gfp != GFP_KERNEL. This is then extended upwards and the gfp to be used for a request is stored in the netfs_io_request struct and is then used for both requests and subrequests, eliminating the sleeping loops there. The failure caused: folio != NULL WARNING: fs/netfs/write_issue.c:603 at netfs_writepages+0x883/0xa10 fs/netfs/write_issue.c:603, CPU#3: syz.0.17/5919
CVE-2026-68436 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: use kvzalloc to allocate struct dc struct dc has grown large over time (most of it the two inlined dc_scratch_space copies) and now sits close to the page allocator's 4 MiB contiguous allocation limit. Its actual size is not fixed by the source alone, it also depends on the compiler and the .config, so it can easily cross 4 MiB, e.g. with a newer GCC or a config change. dc_create() allocates it with kzalloc(). Once struct dc exceeds 4 MiB the request is rounded up to order 11 (8 MiB), which is above MAX_PAGE_ORDER, so the page allocator warns and returns NULL. dc_create() then fails, DM init fails and amdgpu probe aborts with -EINVAL: WARNING: mm/page_alloc.c:5197 at __alloc_frozen_pages_noprof+0x2f9/0x380 dc_create+0x38/0x660 [amdgpu] amdgpu_dm_init+0x2d9/0x510 [amdgpu] dm_hw_init+0x1b/0x90 [amdgpu] amdgpu_device_init.cold+0x150d/0x1e13 [amdgpu] amdgpu_driver_load_kms+0x19/0x80 [amdgpu] amdgpu_pci_probe+0x1e2/0x4c0 [amdgpu] dc_create() then returns NULL and DM init fails, which aborts the whole GPU init and makes amdgpu probe fail with -EINVAL ("hw_init of IP block <dm> failed -22"), leaving the display unusable. The subsequent amdgpu_irq_put() warnings during teardown are just fallout of unwinding a half-initialized device. struct dc is a software-only bookkeeping structure that is never handed to hardware DMA and is only ever kept as an opaque pointer, so it does not require physically contiguous memory. Allocate it with kvzalloc() (and free it with kvfree()) so that the allocator can fall back to vmalloc() when a contiguous allocation of that size is not available, which also avoids the MAX_PAGE_ORDER warning entirely. v2: - Rebase to amd-staging-drm-next. CVE-2026-89699 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: validate symlink target length in NFSv4 CREATE nfsd4_decode_create() accepts an unbounded cr_datalen from the wire for NF4LNK symlink targets, allowing a client to force a kmalloc of up to the maximum RPC payload size (several MiB) per COMPOUND op that persists until compound teardown. The VFS rejects oversized targets with ENAMETOOLONG, but the allocation has already occurred. Reject cr_datalen == 0 early with nfserr_inval and cr_datalen greater than NFS4_MAXPATHLEN (PATH_MAX) with nfserr_nametoolong to bound the allocation.

Apache Tomcat 6.x before 6.0.44, 7.x before 7.0.55, and 8.x before 8.0.9 does not properly handle cases where an HTTP response occurs before finishing the reading of an entire request body, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (thread consumption) via a series of aborted upload attempts.
CVE-2021-33910 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Hci Management Node and 5 more 2026-10-14 5.5 Medium
basic/unit-name.c in systemd prior to 246.15, 247.8, 248.5, and 249.1 has a Memory Allocation with an Excessive Size Value (involving strdupa and alloca for a pathname controlled by a local attacker) that results in an operating system crash.
CVE-2017-18258 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 4 Ansible Tower, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more 2026-10-14 N/A
The xz_head function in xzlib.c in libxml2 before 2.9.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted LZMA file, because the decoder functionality does not restrict memory usage to what is required for a legitimate file.
CVE-2026-94440 1 Go Standard Library 2 Mime/multipart, Net/textproto 2026-10-09 7.5 High
Parsing a multipart form can bypass memory limits and read an arbitrarily long line into memory when the remaining limit at the start of a part is less than 400 bytes.
CVE-2026-78669 1 Go Standard Library 2 Net/http, Net/http2 2026-10-09 7.5 High
A malicious HTTP/2 peer can cause excessive CPU consumption in the client or server by opening a large number of streams and then sending many small SETTINGS frames containing SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE values.
CVE-2026-78667 1 Go Standard Library 1 Net/http 2026-10-09 7.5 High
When parsing a Range header containing a large number of small ranges, FileServer(FS), ServeContent, and ServeFile(FS) can consume an excessive amount of CPU.
CVE-2026-78663 1 Go Standard Library 2 Net/http, Net/http2 2026-10-09 9.1 Critical
The HTTP/2 server can refund connection-level flow control twice for the same data: Once when a client resets a stream (refunding data for any sent-but-unread portion of the stream), and again when a request handler reads the buffered data. A malicious client can exploit this to bypass the configured connection-level flow control limit (MaxReceiveBufferPerConnection). Total buffered data is still limited by the concurrent stream limit and stream-level flow control.
