CVSS v3.1 |
| An Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in LibreOffice allowed
an attacker to self sign an ODF document, with a signature untrusted by
the target, then modify it to change the signature algorithm to an
invalid (or unknown to LibreOffice) algorithm and LibreOffice would incorrectly present such a signature with an unknown algorithm as a
valid signature issued by a trusted person
This issue affects LibreOffice: from 7.0 before 7.0.5, from 7.1 before 7.1.1. |
| Icinga is a monitoring system which checks the availability of network resources, notifies users of outages, and generates performance data for reporting. The TLS certificate validation in all Icinga 2 versions starting from 2.4.0 was flawed, allowing an attacker to impersonate both trusted cluster nodes as well as any API users that use TLS client certificates for authentication (ApiUser objects with the client_cn attribute set). This vulnerability has been fixed in v2.14.3, v2.13.10, v2.12.11, and v2.11.12. |
| Add-on updates failed to verify that the add-on ID inside the signed package matched the ID of the add-on being updated. An attacker who could perform a man-in-the-middle attack on the user's connection to the update server and defeat the certificate pinning protection could provide a malicious signed add-on instead of a valid update. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 45.5 and Firefox < 50. |
| A spoofing vulnerability exists in the way Windows CryptoAPI (Crypt32.dll) validates Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) certificates. An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by using a spoofed code-signing certificate to sign a malicious executable, making it appear the file was from a trusted, legitimate source, aka 'Windows CryptoAPI Spoofing Vulnerability'. |
| This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to compromise transport security on affected installations of ChargePoint Home Flex charging stations. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST setting. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the certificate presented by the server. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of root. |
| A lack of SSL certificate validation in BlueStacks v5.20 allows attackers to execute a man-it-the-middle attack and obtain sensitive information. |
| A vulnerability in the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) integration feature of the Cisco DNA Center Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data. The vulnerability is due to an incomplete validation of the X.509 certificate used when establishing a connection between DNA Center and an ISE server. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by supplying a crafted certificate and could then intercept communications between the ISE and DNA Center. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to view and alter sensitive information that the ISE maintains about clients that are connected to the network. |
| A flaw was found in keycloak affecting versions 11.0.3 and 12.0.0. An expired certificate would be accepted by the direct-grant authenticator because of missing time stamp validations. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity. |
| Busybox contains a Missing SSL certificate validation vulnerability in The "busybox wget" applet that can result in arbitrary code execution. This attack appear to be exploitable via Simply download any file over HTTPS using "busybox wget https://compromised-domain.com/important-file". |
| On 2N Access Unit 2.0 2.31.0.40.5 devices, an attacker can pose as the web relay for a man-in-the-middle attack. |
| Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded product of Oracle Java SE (component: Libraries). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 7u271, 8u261, 11.0.8 and 15; Java SE Embedded: 8u261. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Java SE, Java SE Embedded accessible data. Note: Applies to client and server deployment of Java. This vulnerability can be exploited through sandboxed Java Web Start applications and sandboxed Java applets. It can also be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified Component without using sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, such as through a web service. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 3.7 (Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N). |
| The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 2.x PLC does not properly protect the private key of the SIMATIC CONTROLLER Certification Authority certificate, which allows remote attackers to spoof the S7-1200 web server by using this key to create a forged certificate. |
| In the Bouncy Castle JCE Provider version 1.55 and earlier ECDSA does not fully validate ASN.1 encoding of signature on verification. It is possible to inject extra elements in the sequence making up the signature and still have it validate, which in some cases may allow the introduction of 'invisible' data into a signed structure. |
| If the Node.js https API was used incorrectly and "undefined" was in passed for the "rejectUnauthorized" parameter, no error was returned and connections to servers with an expired certificate would have been accepted. |
| Improper Certificate Validation in Node.js 10, 12, and 13 causes the process to abort when sending a crafted X.509 certificate |
| In Botan before 2.19.3, it is possible to forge OCSP responses due to a certificate verification error. This issue was introduced in Botan 1.11.34 (November 2016). |
| Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 4.10.11 and 5.2.2, the certificate in the Parse Server Apple Game Center auth adapter not validated. As a result, authentication could potentially be bypassed by making a fake certificate accessible via certain Apple domains and providing the URL to that certificate in an authData object. Versions 4.0.11 and 5.2.2 prevent this by introducing a new `rootCertificateUrl` property to the Parse Server Apple Game Center auth adapter which takes the URL to the root certificate of Apple's Game Center authentication certificate. If no value is set, the `rootCertificateUrl` property defaults to the URL of the current root certificate as of May 27, 2022. Keep in mind that the root certificate can change at any time and that it is the developer's responsibility to keep the root certificate URL up-to-date when using the Parse Server Apple Game Center auth adapter. There are no known workarounds for this issue. |
| txAWS (all current versions) fail to perform complete certificate verification resulting in vulnerability to MitM attacks and information disclosure. |
| Salt before 2014.7.6 does not verify certificates when connecting via the aliyun, proxmox, and splunk modules. |
| The FOREX.com FOREXTrader for iPhone app 2.9.12 through 2.9.14 for iOS does not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate. |
