CVE-2026-111115 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-11-05 9.1 Critical
Apache Kafka's code-generated readers for flexible protocol versions read a tagged-field count declared by the sender and retain a RawTaggedField object for each unknown field. That count was bounded only by the outer request frame size (socket.request.max.bytes); it was not checked against the remaining buffer bytes or capped. Because each entry can be encoded in as little as two bytes (unknown tag 0, size 0), a modest request can declare tens of millions of tagged fields and force one object allocation per declared field. Flexible request headers (header version 2, used by flexible APIs such as ApiVersions v3) are parsed this way, so the amplification applies to the request header itself. Impact: The flexible request header is parsed on the network thread before authorization, request dispatch, and request-time quota accounting. A client can send a request of a few tens of megabytes whose header declares about 20 million tagged fields, forcing roughly that many RawTaggedField allocations and exhausting broker heap or inducing process-wide GC stalls, denying broker service. Because the header is parsed for pre-authentication APIs such as ApiVersions (v3), the allocation can occur before authentication; no Kafka resource ACL or quota is required. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, or 4.4.0. Until then, lowering socket.request.max.bytes and restricting network access to broker listeners reduces, but does not remove, exposure. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0: generated readers bounds-check the tagged-field count for flexible-versioned messages, rejecting a negative count, a count exceeding the remaining buffer bytes, or a count exceeding a fixed maximum (10,000), before any per-field allocation.

CVE-2026-117501 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-11-05 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.24_01 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via unbounded buffering of chunked request bodies. In chunked mode, used when no content length is given, add() holds each chunk in memory until all of it has arrived. A line that is not a chunk-size line, a size line without CRLF, or a size too large to fit an integer leaves the parser waiting forever, and every later add() grows the buffer. A remote attacker can exhaust memory in applications that pass chunked request bodies to HTTP::Body.
CVE-2026-116273 1 Perl 1 Mime::parser 2026-11-05 7.5 High
MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl set no limit on the number of message parts by default, allowing memory exhaustion. The max_parts option defaulted to -1, which disables the limit, so a parser created with default settings builds an entity for every part however many a message has. Version 5.521 sets max_parts to 1000 and max_depth to 64 by default. Setting either to -1 still removes the limit.
CVE-2026-116270 1 Perl 1 Mime::words 2026-11-05 7.5 High
MIME::Words versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via repeated "=?" sequences in decode_mimewords. For each "=?" that does not start a complete encoded word, decode_mimewords appends an error message containing the whole input string to $@. A boundary of 8,000 "=?" pairs (16,000 bytes) adds 8,000 copies of itself to $@, about 128 MB. From version 5.518, MIME::Parser decodes every multipart boundary this way, so a remote sender can exhaust the memory of the parsing process with one Content-Type header.
CVE-2026-116267 1 Perl 1 Mime::parser 2026-11-05 7.5 High
MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via indented error messages from a truncated, deeply nested message. Each stored parser diagnostic is indented by three spaces per nesting level. When a message nested N levels deep ends without its closing boundaries, every level logs an error at its own depth, so the stored diagnostics grow with the square of N. The defaults place no limit on nesting depth.
CVE-2026-116134 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-11-05 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via an unbounded multipart part header block. The multipart parser takes everything up to the first blank line after a boundary as the part's header block, with no limit on its size or number of lines. Every line is stored in the part's header hash, so a block of short lines costs about 60 bytes of memory per input byte. A remote attacker can exhaust worker memory with a single request.
CVE-2025-38199 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: Fix memory leak due to multiple rx_stats allocation rx_stats for each arsta is allocated when adding a station. arsta->rx_stats will be freed when a station is removed. Redundant allocations are occurring when the same station is added multiple times. This causes ath12k_mac_station_add() to be called multiple times, and rx_stats is allocated each time. As a result there is memory leaks. Prevent multiple allocations of rx_stats when ath12k_mac_station_add() is called repeatedly by checking if rx_stats is already allocated before allocating again. Allocate arsta->rx_stats if arsta->rx_stats is NULL respectively. Tested-on: QCN9274 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.WBE.1.3.1-00173-QCAHKSWPL_SILICONZ-1 Tested-on: WCN7850 hw2.0 PCI WLAN.HMT.1.0.c5-00481-QCAHMTSWPL_V1.0_V2.0_SILICONZ-3
CVE-2024-57838 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-05 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/entry: Mark IRQ entries to fix stack depot warnings The stack depot filters out everything outside of the top interrupt context as an uninteresting or irrelevant part of the stack traces. This helps with stack trace de-duplication, avoiding an explosion of saved stack traces that share the same IRQ context code path but originate from different randomly interrupted points, eventually exhausting the stack depot. Filtering uses in_irqentry_text() to identify functions within the .irqentry.text and .softirqentry.text sections, which then become the last stack trace entries being saved. While __do_softirq() is placed into the .softirqentry.text section by common code, populating .irqentry.text is architecture-specific. Currently, the .irqentry.text section on s390 is empty, which prevents stack depot filtering and de-duplication and could result in warnings like: Stack depot reached limit capacity WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 286113 at lib/stackdepot.c:252 depot_alloc_stack+0x39a/0x3c8 with PREEMPT and KASAN enabled. Fix this by moving the IO/EXT interrupt handlers from .kprobes.text into the .irqentry.text section and updating the kprobes blacklist to include the .irqentry.text section. This is done only for asynchronous interrupts and explicitly not for program checks, which are synchronous and where the context beyond the program check is important to preserve. Despite machine checks being somewhat in between, they are extremely rare, and preserving context when possible is also of value. SVCs and Restart Interrupts are not relevant, one being always at the boundary to user space and the other being a one-time thing. IRQ entries filtering is also optionally used in ftrace function graph, where the same logic applies.
CVE-2024-56584 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/tctx: work around xa_store() allocation error issue syzbot triggered the following WARN_ON: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 16 at io_uring/tctx.c:51 __io_uring_free+0xfa/0x140 io_uring/tctx.c:51 which is the WARN_ON_ONCE(!xa_empty(&tctx->xa)); sanity check in __io_uring_free() when a io_uring_task is going through its final put. The syzbot test case includes injecting memory allocation failures, and it very much looks like xa_store() can fail one of its memory allocations and end up with ->head being non-NULL even though no entries exist in the xarray. Until this issue gets sorted out, work around it by attempting to iterate entries in our xarray, and WARN_ON_ONCE() if one is found.
CVE-2026-4897 2 Freedesktop, Redhat 6 Polkit, Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird and 3 more 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in polkit. A local user can exploit this by providing a specially crafted, excessively long input to the `polkit-agent-helper-1` setuid binary via standard input (stdin). This unbounded input can lead to an out-of-memory (OOM) condition, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system.
CVE-2023-53199 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k: hif_usb: clean up skbs if ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() fails Syzkaller detected a memory leak of skbs in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(). While processing skbs in ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream(), the already allocated skbs in skb_pool are not freed if ath9k_hif_usb_rx_stream() fails. If we have an incorrect pkt_len or pkt_tag, the input skb is considered invalid and dropped. All the associated packets already in skb_pool should be dropped and freed. Added a comment describing this issue. The patch also makes remain_skb NULL after being processed so that it cannot be referenced after potential free. The initialization of hif_dev fields which are associated with remain_skb (rx_remain_len, rx_transfer_len and rx_pad_len) is moved after a new remain_skb is allocated. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.
CVE-2023-53051 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm crypt: add cond_resched() to dmcrypt_write() The loop in dmcrypt_write may be running for unbounded amount of time, thus we need cond_resched() in it. CVE-2026-116779 1 Signalwire 1 Freeswitch 2026-11-05 9.8 Critical
FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.3, sofia_presence_handle_sip_i_message() split the To user of an inbound SIP MESSAGE on a plus sign and treated the left side as a chat protocol selector. Selecting the api chat proto reached switch_api_execute(), allowing a peer whose MESSAGE was accepted to run FreeSWITCH API commands, including operating-system command sinks, with the daemon's privileges. Inbound chat is enabled on the stock internal and external profiles, and any authenticated profile account is sufficient; stock directory users without password material can also remove that barrier in affected configurations. The flaw permits configuration and credential disclosure, arbitrary call control, and command execution, and exploitation has been observed in the wild. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.3.
CVE-2026-116786 1 Signalwire 1 Freeswitch 2026-11-05 8.8 High
FreeSWITCH is a Software Defined Telecom Stack enabling the digital transformation from proprietary telecom switches to a software implementation that runs on any commodity hardware. Prior to 1.11.2, sofia_handle_sip_i_refer() placed raw Refer-To URI parameters and headers inside a sip_invite_params channel-variable block passed to switch_ivr_originate(). The originate parser treated a comma in the attacker-controlled value as a variable separator, allowing an authenticated caller on a bridged call to inject arbitrary variables into a newly originated leg. An injected execute_on_originate value could invoke the system dialplan application before answer and execute operating-system commands with the FreeSWITCH process privileges. SIP REFER is enabled by default, and the sender needs only a registered account and a call that takes the off-box transfer path, not administrative or Event Socket access. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.2.
CVE-2026-55367 1 H2o 1 H2o 2026-11-05 7.5 High
h2o is an HTTP server with support for HTTP/1.x, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3. Prior to commit 4212ce114506a073505fd389db16ad2ba4e582a0, a client could send an incomplete CONNECT-UDP Capsule with an excessively large declared length, causing H2O to keep buffering received bytes without a per-Capsule limit while waiting for the remainder. Deployments that enabled proxy.connect-udp and accepted CONNECT-UDP requests could exhaust server memory and lose availability. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 4212ce114506a073505fd389db16ad2ba4e582a0.
CVE-2026-116133 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-11-05 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic rescanning of a multipart body with a missing or malformed boundary. Before the first part, and between parts, the multipart parser searches the whole buffered body for the next boundary. On a miss it keeps everything and searches again from the start when the next chunk arrives. A body with no boundary, or with a delimiter followed by neither CRLF nor "--", is therefore rescanned on every chunk, taking time quadratic in its size. A remote attacker can exhaust worker CPU with a few such requests.
CVE-2026-111073 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-11-05 6.5 Medium
The broker-side PushTelemetry API (KIP-714) validates only the compressed size of a client's metrics payload against telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB) before decompressing it. ClientTelemetryUtils.decompress() then decompresses the payload with no limit on the decompressed output size, growing a heap buffer until the compressed input is exhausted. A small, highly compressible payload (for example gzip-compressed zeros) can therefore expand to hundreds of megabytes of broker heap. Impact: An authenticated client can send a PushTelemetry request with a small compressed payload that decompresses to a very large size, consuming broker heap out of proportion to the request size. Repeated or concurrent requests can exhaust the broker heap and cause an OutOfMemoryError, degrading or crashing the broker; a client that targets multiple brokers can affect cluster availability. PushTelemetry is available to any authenticated client and is not gated by an ACL. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.1, or 4.4.0. On affected versions there is no configuration that fully prevents the amplification, because telemetry.max.bytes bounds only the compressed size; lowering telemetry.max.bytes reduces the worst-case decompressed size proportionally and is a partial mitigation. Resolution: - From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.1, and 4.4.0: ClientTelemetryUtils.decompress() enforces a maximum decompressed size equal to telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB). Decompression reads in bounded chunks and aborts with a TelemetryTooLargeException once the decompressed total exceeds the limit, so an over-large or highly compressible payload is rejected instead of being fully expanded in heap. The decompressed size is therefore bounded by default.
CVE-2022-49256 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-11-05 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watch_queue: Actually free the watch free_watch() does everything barring actually freeing the watch object. Fix this by adding the missing kfree. kmemleak produces a report something like the following. Note that as an address can be seen in the first word, the watch would appear to have gone through call_rcu().
