Incorrect authorization in FileSystem in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Information loss in CacheStorage in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker to obtain cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Origin validation error in Autofill in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker to bypass web origin policy via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Use after free in MediaStream in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
In multiple files, there is a possible way to reveal information across users due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
A temp directory creation vulnerability exists in all versions of Guava, allowing an attacker with access to the machine to potentially access data in a temporary directory created by the Guava API com.google.common.io.Files.createTempDir(). By default, on unix-like systems, the created directory is world-readable (readable by an attacker with access to the system). The method in question has been marked @Deprecated in versions 30.0 and later and should not be used. For Android developers, we recommend choosing a temporary directory API provided by Android, such as context.getCacheDir(). For other Java developers, we recommend migrating to the Java 7 API java.nio.file.Files.createTempDirectory() which explicitly configures permissions of 700, or configuring the Java runtime's java.io.tmpdir system property to point to a location whose permissions are appropriately configured.
Use after free in Frames in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.79 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Tink-go (tink-crypto/tink-go) through 2.8.0 contains an input-validation vulnerability where keyset.NewHandleWithNoSecrets() and ReadWithNoSecrets() skip the structural Validate() step before constructing a keyset.Handle, allowing malformed public or no-secret keysets that violate Tink's keyset invariants to be accepted. Attackers can supply a malformed keyset, such as one with an enabled public key lacking a valid primary key or a DESTROYED key with no KeyData, causing inconsistent downstream validation where functions like jwt.JWKSetFromPublicKeysetHandle() process the invalid handle and produce a JWK set, potentially misleading applications that rely on successful handle construction as proof of keyset integrity.
An issue was discovered in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ through 66.1. An integer overflow, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow, exists in the UnicodeString::doAppend() function in common/unistr.cpp.
Buffer overflow in libxml2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging an incorrect limit for port values when handling redirects.
A flaw in libxml2 allows remote XML entity inclusion with default parser flags (i.e., when the caller did not request entity substitution, DTD validation, external DTD subset loading, or default DTD attributes). Depending on the context, this may expose a higher-risk attack surface in libxml2 not usually reachable with default parser flags, and expose content from local files, HTTP, or FTP servers (which might be otherwise unreachable).
Integer overflow in international date handling in International Components for Unicode (ICU) for C/C++ before 60.1, as used in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 63.0.3239.84 and other products, allowed a remote attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page.
| A remote code execution vulnerability in libxml2 could enable an attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of an unprivileged process. This issue is rated as High due to the possibility of remote code execution in an application that uses this library. Product: Android. Versions: 4.4.4, 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1, 7.1.2.
