CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix fiemap wild read on empty truncated response
smb3_fiemap() treats -E2BIG from SMB2_ioctl() as a truncated range blob
and loops for the next chunk. If the server reports
STATUS_BUFFER_OVERFLOW with OutputCount == 0, SMB2_ioctl() returns
-E2BIG with out_data == NULL and out_data_len == 0, and the existing
length checks accept the empty result. The loop then evaluates
next = out_data[num - 1].file_offset + ...
with num == 0, reading 16 bytes before NULL.
Reject a truncated range blob that contains no range, so the resume
offset is never computed from an empty response. Also require the last
range in a truncated blob to advance the resume offset without
overflowing, and to stay within the requested range; a malicious or
broken server could otherwise make no progress or underflow len and loop
forever. Free the previous response buffer before retrying.
Reproduced on 6.6.87.2 with a malicious SMB2 server that answers
FSCTL_QUERY_ALLOCATED_RANGES with STATUS_BUFFER_OVERFLOW and
OutputCount == 0; an FS_IOC_FIEMAP ioctl on the mount oopses in
cifs_fiemap() with CR2 = fffffffffffffff8. The code path is unchanged
on mainline. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: reserve space for the UTF-16 terminator in stream info
smb_strtoUTF16() always writes a terminating zero UTF-16 unit after the
converted characters, but get_file_stream_info() budgets only
sizeof(struct smb2_file_stream_info) + streamlen * 2 for a stream entry
and sizeof(struct smb2_file_stream_info) + 7 * 2 for the trailing
"::$DATA" entry. When an entry exactly fills the 448-byte small response
buffer, the terminator is written two bytes past the allocation.
Reserve one extra UTF-16 unit in both budget checks. The terminator is
not part of the wire format, so the reported lengths are unchanged. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: validate the data area in SMB2_read()
SMB2_read() copies le32_to_cpu(rsp->DataLength) bytes from
(char *)rsp + rsp->DataOffset without checking that the range lies
within the response actually received. A READ response with
DataOffset == 0 makes smb2_get_data_area_len() zero the data length, so
smb2_check_message() accepts a frame as short as the fixed response,
while SMB2_read() still uses the server-supplied DataLength, capped only
by CIFS_MAX_MSGSIZE and the caller's length.
A malicious server can answer the synchronous read used by the
mfsymlinks (or SFU) symlink parser with an 81-byte READ response
carrying DataOffset 0 and DataLength 1067, making the client copy 1067
bytes from a 448-byte receive object (KASAN slab-out-of-bounds; up to
16 KiB in the general case).
Clamp a zero (or header-overlapping) DataOffset to read_rsp_size, as
handle_read_data() does for the asynchronous path, and reject the
response unless DataOffset + DataLength fits within rsp_iov.iov_len.
The SMB1 helper was fixed the same way in 5be5bdda5863. |

line6pcm->prev_fbuf points into the capture PCM stream buffer
(line6pcm->in.buffer), which is updated during audio_in_callback() to
feed rate synchronization, software monitoring, and impulse test signal
generation on playback side.
When all capture streams are closed, line6_buffer_release() frees
pstr->buffer with kfree(). However, it does not clear line6pcm->prev_fbuf.
If playback is subsequently started (e.g. via impulse test signal
volume control snd_line6_impulse_volume_put()), submit_audio_out_urb()
dereferences the stale pointer line6pcm->prev_fbuf under in.lock,
resulting in a slab-use-after-free read.
Clear prev_fbuf and prev_fsize in line6_buffer_release() when releasing
the capture stream buffer under in.lock, ensuring that no stale buffer
pointer can be accessed by submit_audio_out_urb(). |
| A vulnerability has been found in SililaWijesinghe Food Ordering System up to ba314e897e3365600461e5ea59432e39ceaa0fa5. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file /Food-Ordering-System/admin/. Such manipulation leads to exposure of information through directory listing. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. This product does not use versioning. This is why information about affected and unaffected releases are unavailable. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| The JetFormBuilder — Dynamic Blocks Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the '<any form field name — e.g. 'payload'>' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the targeted form to have both the Save Form Record action enabled and a form-level Form Record preset configured; the stored payload only executes when a privileged user visits the front-end form page with the preset's record query variable set to the attacker's submitted record ID. |
| The JetFormBuilder — Dynamic Blocks Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'note (form field whose value is written to post meta `note`)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires a privileged user with the edit_others_posts capability to visit a form URL containing the attacker-created post ID, a delivery step the attacker controls via a crafted phishing link. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Cozmoslabs TranslatePress translatepress-multilingual allows Stored XSS.This issue affects TranslatePress: from n/a through 3.3.8. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Tenda AC19 16.03.10.07. Affected by this issue is the function saveParentControlInfo of the file /goform/saveParentControlInfo. This manipulation of the argument deviceId causes heap-based buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. |
| A race condition occurred between the functions lmLogClose and txEnd in JFS, in the Linux Kernel, executed in different threads. This flaw allows a local attacker with normal user privileges to crash the system or leak internal kernel information. |
| A vulnerability was found in FreeIPA in how the initial implementation of MS-SFU by MIT Kerberos was missing a condition for granting the "forwardable" flag on S4U2Self tickets. Fixing this mistake required adding a special case for the check_allowed_to_delegate() function: If the target service argument is NULL, then it means the KDC is probing for general constrained delegation rules and not checking a specific S4U2Proxy request.
In FreeIPA 4.11.0, the behavior of ipadb_match_acl() was modified to match the changes from upstream MIT Kerberos 1.20. However, a mistake resulting in this mechanism applies in cases where the target service argument is set AND where it is unset. This results in S4U2Proxy requests being accepted regardless of whether or not there is a matching service delegation rule. |
| A flaw was found in Infinispan, which does not detect circular object references when unmarshalling. An authenticated attacker with sufficient permissions could insert a maliciously constructed object into the cache and use it to cause out of memory errors and achieve a denial of service. |
| A use-after-free vulnerability was found in drivers/nvme/target/tcp.c` in `nvmet_tcp_free_crypto` due to a logical bug in the NVMe/TCP subsystem in the Linux kernel. This issue may allow a malicious user to cause a use-after-free and double-free problem, which may permit remote code execution or lead to local privilege escalation. |
| A vulnerability was found in MariaDB. An OpenVAS port scan on ports 3306 and 4567 allows a malicious remote client to cause a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in pfn_swap_entry_to_page in memory management subsystem in the Linux Kernel. In this flaw, an attacker with a local user privilege may cause a denial of service problem due to a BUG statement referencing pmd_t x. |
| A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in dbFree in fs/jfs/jfs_dmap.c in the journaling file system (JFS) in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow a local attacker to crash the system due to a missing sanity check. |
| An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in Netfilter Connection Tracking (conntrack) in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a remote user to disclose sensitive information via the DCCP protocol. |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Netfilter functionality when adding a rule with NFTA_RULE_CHAIN_ID. This flaw allows a local user to crash or escalate their privileges on the system. |
| A flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s IP framework for transforming packets (XFRM subsystem). This issue may allow a malicious user with CAP_NET_ADMIN privileges to directly dereference a NULL pointer in xfrm_update_ae_params(), leading to a possible kernel crash and denial of service. |
| A security vulnerability has been discovered within rpm-ostree, pertaining to the /etc/shadow file in default builds having the world-readable bit enabled. This issue arises from the default permissions being set at a higher level than recommended, potentially exposing sensitive authentication data to unauthorized access. |
