CVSS v3.1 |
| h5io before 0.2.6 contains a code injection vulnerability in read_hdf5() that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a crafted HDF5 file. Attackers can store Python code in a node titled timezone, which _triage_read() passes to eval() with builtins reachable, name an arbitrary module in class or custom-object nodes that _import_class() imports, or place pickled objects in pd_dataframe or pd_series nodes that pandas deserializes on read. |
| PyMoDAQ before 4.4.13, and pymodaq_data, pymodaq_gui, and pymodaq_utils before 5.1.15, 5.2.x before 5.2.14, and 5.3.x before 5.3.10, contain deserialization of untrusted data and eval injection vulnerabilities that allow attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying crafted files that a user opens. Attackers can store pickled objects in HDF5 string nodes that StringARRAY.array_to_string() passes to pickle.loads() when the node is browsed or read, place Python expressions in HDF5 attributes that JsonConverter.json2object() evaluates, supply a .dock file that load_layout_state() unpickles from the Dashboard Load layout action, or embed Python expressions in XML settings files that elt_to_dict() and set_txt_from_elt() evaluate. |
| Spreadsheet::XLSX versions before 0.19 for Perl allow code execution via string eval of number format conditions in ExcelFmt.
When a number format has a condition such as [>100], ExcelFmt chooses the format section by passing the condition and the cell value to a string eval. Both come from the workbook, and the eval runs while Spreadsheet::XLSX->new parses it.
An attacker who supplies an XLSX file can run arbitrary Perl code. |
| A flaw was found in FreeIPA's idp-add command, where insufficiently validated --organization/--base-url input reaches a constrained eval() call before the corresponding LDAP access control check is enforced. This allows any authenticated IPA principal, regardless of privilege level, to enumerate and read the environment variables of the affected server process and to cause denial of service via memory exhaustion. |
| Chamilo LMS is an open-source learning management system. In the 1.x line before 1.11.40, and the 2.x line before 2.0.1, multiple `eval()` calls in the vendored PEAR `HTML_QuickForm` libraries can execute arbitrary PHP code if form element names contain attacker-influenced data. Standard Chamilo forms use hardcoded element names; exploitation requires a developer-specific plugin or misconfiguration that lets user input reach those element names. Where that conditional path exists, the impact can be full server compromise. This issue is fixed in versions 1.11.40 and 2.0.1. |
| In Python 3 through 3.9.0, the Lib/test/multibytecodec_support.py CJK codec tests call eval() on content retrieved via HTTP. |
| The AWS Amplify Studio UI component property expressions in the aws-amplify/amplify-codegen-ui package lack input validation. This could potentially allow an authenticated user who has access to create or modify components to run arbitrary JavaScript code during the component rendering and build process. |
| PHP-Fusion 9.03.50 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the 'add_panel_form()' function that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code through an eval() function with unsanitized POST data. Attackers can exploit the vulnerability by sending crafted panel_content POST parameters to the panels.php administration endpoint to execute malicious code. |
| An eval() injection vulnerability in the Rapid7 Insight Agent beaconing logic for Linux versions could theoretically allow an attacker to achieve remote code execution as root via a crafted beacon response. Because the Agent uses mutual TLS (mTLS) to verify commands from the Rapid7 Platform, it is unlikely that the eval() function could be exploited remotely without prior, highly privileged access to the backend platform. |
| Langflow is a tool for building and deploying AI-powered agents and workflows. In versions prior to 1.9.0, the POST /api/v1/build_public_tmp/{flow_id}/flow endpoint allows building public flows without requiring authentication. When the optional data parameter is supplied, the endpoint uses attacker-controlled flow data (containing arbitrary Python code in node definitions) instead of the stored flow data from the database. This code is passed to exec() with zero sandboxing, resulting in unauthenticated remote code execution. This is distinct from CVE-2025-3248, which fixed /api/v1/validate/code by adding authentication. The build_public_tmp endpoint is designed to be unauthenticated (for public flows) but incorrectly accepts attacker-supplied flow data containing arbitrary executable code. This issue has been fixed in version 1.9.0. |
| A flaw has been found in FoundationAgents MetaGPT up to 0.8.1. This vulnerability affects the function ActionNode.xml_fill of the file metagpt/actions/action_node.py of the component XML Handler. Executing a manipulation can lead to improper neutralization of directives in dynamically evaluated code. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through a pull request but has not reacted yet. |
| WilderForge is a Wildermyth coremodding API. A critical vulnerability has been identified in multiple projects across the WilderForge organization. The issue arises from unsafe usage of `${{ github.event.review.body }}` and other user controlled variables directly inside shell script contexts in GitHub Actions workflows. This introduces a code injection vulnerability: a malicious actor submitting a crafted pull request review containing shell metacharacters or commands could execute arbitrary shell code on the GitHub Actions runner. This can lead to arbitrary command execution with the permissions of the workflow, potentially compromising CI infrastructure, secrets, and build outputs. Developers who maintain or contribute to the repos WilderForge/WilderForge, WilderForge/ExampleMod, WilderForge/WilderWorkspace, WilderForge/WildermythGameProvider, WilderForge/AutoSplitter, WilderForge/SpASM, WilderForge/thrixlvault, WilderForge/MassHash, and/or WilderForge/DLC_Disabler; as well as users who fork any of the above repositories and reuse affected GitHub Actions workflows, are affected. End users of any the above software and users who only install pre-built releases or artifacts are not affected. This vulnerability does not impact runtime behavior of the software or compiled outputs unless those outputs were produced during exploitation of this vulnerability. A current workaround is to disable GitHub Actions in affected repositories, or remove the affected workflows. |
| PHP-Charts v1.0 contains a PHP code execution vulnerability in wizard/url.php, where user-supplied GET parameter names are passed directly to eval() without sanitization. A remote attacker can exploit this flaw by crafting a request that injects arbitrary PHP code, resulting in command execution under the web server's context. The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to execute system-level commands via base64-encoded payloads embedded in parameter names, leading to full compromise of the host system. |
| The WordPress pluginĀ is-human <= v1.4.2 containsĀ an eval injection vulnerability in /is-human/engine.php that can be triggered via the 'type' parameter when the 'action' parameter is set to 'log-reset'. The root cause is unsafe use of eval() on user-controlled input, which can lead to execution of attacker-supplied PHP and OS commands. This may result in arbitrary code execution as the webserver user, site compromise, or data exfiltration. The is-human plugin was made defunct in June 2008 and is no longer available for download. This vulnerability was exploited in the wild in March 2012. |
| A remote PHP code execution vulnerability exists in InstantCMS version 1.6 and earlier due to unsafe use of eval() within the search view handler. Specifically, user-supplied input passed via the look parameter is concatenated into a PHP expression and executed without proper sanitation. A remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a crafted HTTP GET request with a base64-encoded payload in the Cmd header, resulting in arbitrary PHP code execution within the context of the web server. |
| Affected devices do not properly sanitize contents of trace files.
This could allow an attacker to inject code through social engineering an authorized user, who has the function right "Read diagnostics", to import a specially crafted trace file.
The malicious trace file is insufficiently sanitized and malicious code could be executed in the clients browser session and trigger PLC operations via the webserver that the legitimate user is authorized to perform. |
| The PDF viewer does not sufficiently sanitize PostScript calculator functions, allowing malicious JavaScript to be injected through a crafted PDF file. This JavaScript can then be run with the permissions of the PDF viewer by its worker. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.8 and Firefox < 60. |
| JBoss RichFaces before 4.5.4 allows remote attackers to inject expression language (EL) expressions and execute arbitrary Java code via the do parameter. |
| Eval injection vulnerability in xdg-utils 1.1.0 RC1, when no supported desktop environment is identified, allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via the URL argument to xdg-open. |
| python_scripts.py in Plone before 4.2.3 and 4.3 before beta 1 allows remote attackers to execute Python code via a crafted URL, related to createObject. |
