CVSS v3.1 |
| Memory Corruption via Uncanceled AIO Requests on Error: libkcapi's one-shot AIO path can return an error before all submitted IOCBs are drained, allowing later kernel writes into caller-owned output buffers. |
| In parseMetaData of StagefrightMetadataRetriever.cpp, there is a possible denial of service due to a stack buffer overflow. This could lead to remote denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xen-blkback: Avoid UAF when reading I/O statistics
Reading I/O statistics via sysfs concurrently with tearing down a
frontend device might result in UAF or a NULL dereference, as the
reading of the statistics data is not synchronized with freeing the
data.
Use a rwlock for synchronizing.
This is XSA-528 / CVE-2026-100082 |
| In the Samsung GPU driver, improper reference count handling during command submission can lead to memory corruption. |
| In the Samsung Exynos GPU driver, improper synchronization during buffer object creation and closing can lead to memory corruption |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xen-netback: Fix UAF when reading statistics data
The network statistic data in the driver is protected by RCU.
Unfortunately when tearing down the queues after an error during
connecting to the frontend (e.g. due to illegal Xenstore data filled
in by the guest), the statistic data is being freed without
synchronizing the RCU state. In case the data is being read via sysfs
in this phase, access to already freed memory or memory being in new
use is possible.
Fix that by calling synchronize_net() before freeing the queue data.
This is XSA-526 / CVE-2026-100080 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xen-netback: defer xenvif_mcast_addr_list_free()
In order for the function to legitimately avoid locking/RCU, it needs to
run after all TX/RX processing has finished/stopped: Lookups happen from
xenvif_start_xmit(), while adds/removes happen from xenvif_tx_action()
(called out of xenvif_poll()).
Move the call out of xenvif_disconnect_data() (the call to the function
from connect()'s error path doesn't require any cleaning up there), and
put it past the synchronization point in backend_disconnect().
This is XSA-527 / CVE-2026-100081. |
| CivetWeb through 1.16, when built with USE_HTTP2 and enable_http2 on, contains a use-after-free vulnerability in handle_http2() that retains freed :method and :path pointers. Unauthenticated remote attackers can send a later HEADERS frame omitting these pseudo-headers to influence request method or path seen by access rules, or crash the server. |
| The vulnerability is a Use-After-Free (UAF) in the EVS AIDL HAL, arising from a data race on an unsynchronized `std::weak_ptr` within `EvsEnumerator::openCamera()`. Specifically, concurrent calls from a privileged UID (e.g., `AID_AUTOMOTIVE_EVS`) can cause a torn `weak_ptr` state, leading to a virtual call through a freed object's vtable at `cameraObj->getCameraInfo(&desc)`. This allows for potential arbitrary code execution within the `hal_evs_default` process. |
| A flaw was found in libarchive. An attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) or potential information disclosure due to a use-after-free vulnerability, which occurs when a program reads memory that has already been released. This issue arises when the archive_entry_copy_mac_metadata() function deallocates an internal buffer before completing a data copy. An attacker who can supply input to an application utilizing this function can trigger the flaw to crash the application or read uninitialized memory data. |
| A vulnerability was found in libssh, where an uninitialized variable exists under certain conditions in the privatekey_from_file() function. This flaw can be triggered if the file specified by the filename doesn't exist and may lead to possible signing failures or heap corruption. |
| A flaw was found in OpenSSL's handling of the properties argument in certain functions. This vulnerability can allow use-after-free exploitation, which may result in undefined behavior or incorrect property parsing, leading to OpenSSL treating the input as an empty string. |
| The use-after-free vulnerability was found in the AuthentIC driver in OpenSC packages, occuring in the card enrolment process using pkcs15-init when a user or administrator enrols or modifies cards. An attacker must have physical access to the computer system and requires a crafted USB device or smart card to present the system with specially crafted responses to the APDUs, which are considered high complexity and low severity. This manipulation can allow for compromised card management operations during enrolment. |
| A heap use-after-free issue has been identified in SQLite in the jsonParseAddNodeArray() function in sqlite3.c. This flaw allows a local attacker to leverage a victim to pass specially crafted malicious input to the application, potentially causing a crash and leading to a denial of service. |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in PackageKitd. In some conditions, the order of cleanup mechanics for a transaction could be impacted. As a result, some memory access could occur on memory regions that were previously freed. Once freed, a memory region can be reused for other allocations and any previously stored data in this memory region is considered lost. |
| Multiple Use-After-Free vulnerabilities were found in the add_archive_element function in ld/ldmain.c of the GNU linker (ld), a component of binutils. The root cause is that plugin_maybe_claim() in ld/plugin.c frees the original BFD object via bfd_close/_bfd_delete_bfd when entry->the_bfd->my_archive == NULL, but the caller retains both the original abfd parameter and a shallow copy (orig_input.the_bfd) as dangling pointers. These dangling pointers are subsequently dereferenced at three distinct locations in add_archive_element:
1. Line ~1442: accessing abfd->my_archive via bfd_usrdata(abfd->my_archive)
2. Line ~1493: multiple accesses to abfd and abfd->my_archive in a conditional check and bfd_get_filename call
3. Line ~1525: dereferencing the shallow copy orig_input.the_bfd->my_archive in trace/verbose logging
The vulnerability is triggered when LTO plugins are active (link_info.lto_plugin_active is true) and the input object has abfd->my_archive == NULL, which is a valid state for standalone object files. Red Hat builds binutils with --enable-plugins and --enable-lto, confirming the vulnerable code path is compiled in and reachable.
An attacker who can supply a crafted object or archive file to a build process using LTO-enabled linking could exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service (linker crash via segmentation fault). Arbitrary code execution is theoretically possible through heap manipulation but is substantially mitigated by hardening measures including stack protector, FORTIFY_SOURCE, ASLR, and PIE.
The attack surface is limited to build-time environments — the linker is a development tool not exposed in production runtime. The most realistic exploitation scenario is a supply chain attack introducing a crafted object file as a build dependency in CI/CD pipelines or development environments. |
| A flaw was found in the libblkid library of util-linux. During nested partition probing, the BSD, Minix, Solaris x86, and UnixWare partition probers cache a raw pointer to a parent partition entry in a dynamically allocated array. When subsequent partition additions cause the array to be reallocated, this pointer becomes stale, leading to a heap use-after-free read. An attacker who can present a crafted block device image (for example, via USB insertion or a loop-mounted disk image) can trigger this flaw without user interaction, as libblkid is invoked automatically by udev/udisks as root on block-device hot-plug events. This could lead to limited information disclosure or denial of service. |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to cause race condition in hardware performance counters buffer’s destruction path leading to read and/or write UAF.
The race condition in the destruction path could lead to reference counter being decremented in non-atomical way allowing other code paths using a freed object to read and/or write kernel heap memory. |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to free memory in still in use, replace with another allocation and cause arbitrary memory reads or writes to physical memory pages.
A memory buffer managed by a CPU thread of control (driver) and accessed by a GPU thread of control (firmware) can be freed while in use. Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may replace that buffer with another and replace a shared resource (memory page address list) managed by the CPU thread of control (driver) leading to the GPU accessing memory not managed by the CPU thread of control (driver). |
| FastNetMon is a high-performance DDoS detector and sensor. In version 1.2.9 and earlier, peer_find_template() in src/netflow_plugin/netflow_collector.cpp and src/netflow_plugin/netflow_v9_collector.cpp returns a pointer into global_netflow9_templates after releasing the cache mutex. On deployments with at least two entries in netflow_ports, concurrent template redefinition and data-flowset processing can let add_update_peer_template() reassign the template and free its records vector while another listener dereferences the escaped pointer. An unauthenticated sender that can reach both NetFlow/IPFIX listener ports can trigger a heap-use-after-free and reliably crash FastNetMon. No fixed release is available as of this review. |
